About
SHORT VERSION: This is the beginning of a conscientious weblog on sustaining a fit mind and body.
LONG VERSION: I found my saddle pal and we had two beautiful children. My husband worked with his hands (musician and carpenter) and I went back to college for a degree. We were thriving, our work was zooming, but it wasn’t what we wanted after all. To work all the time with little time for your family wasn’t acceptable. No one later looks back and says, “I sure wish I had spent more of my time working.”
We’re two old hippies and have always maintained our 1960s ideals of: “What’s mine is yours.” “Whatever gets you through the night.” “Love is the answer.” We moved to a log cabin in the country and said goodbye to the fast track and 9-5 grind. We pared down or we did without. We bartered our housing and our transportation. My husband bartered guitar lessons and carpenter work. I sold handmade quilts and clothes. We grew our own food and I made many of our clothes. We traded our wood designs and fabric art.
We eventually moved closer to the city but are now armed with a more solid foundation. We learned how to live as if there’s only a little time left on earth because, honestly, today is the only day there is.
I quit smoking, finally, on August 8, 2008. On 8/8/08 I had my last cigarette after 35+ years of smoking. I hope to be able to repair the damage it’s already caused to me but it will be hard to say the least.
I have also maintained a website for 8 years called Easy Bake Coven.

Whee! I’ve found you again!

Hey, Shirl! I’m almost ready to introduce it via my other site. I’m still putting some things together here.
